The Fess Parker Winery & Vineyards was an impressive venue. Being here was nostalgic of his Disney years and made being a part of this experience all the more enjoyable. Fess Parker is a TV legend and man of many talents. In the 50′s he portrayed the character of and sang the song “Davy Crockett” (Click the link to see the youtube clip of him singing this classic song). He is more presently known as a wine maker and resort owner-operator and does it well. It was apparent that Travis appreciated this nostalgia as well, as he finished off the reception and night wearing a Davy Crockett style coonskin hat. The 1950′s style and vibe extended much further than this. The bride and bridesmaids wore 50′s style dresses and had their hair in 1950′s style pin up hairdos. The bride’s entrance to the ceremony topped it off as she drove up in a 1956/1957 Chevy sedan. The reception took place on a large grassy area that was shaded by several live oak trees. There was no doubt that Travis & Karlie’s friends and family were elated to see this lovely couple tie the knot. Hoops and hollers could periodically be heard ringing from all ends of the reception area.
