Sunflowers have the magical effect of brightening whatever environment they’re in. This celebration at the Cypress Ridge Pavilion was a fun and joyous occasion. The gloominess of the fog that drifted in and out throughout the ceremony and reception didn’t damper the spirits of this adorable couple and their guests. The vibrant sunflower floral arrangements perfectly matched the spunky personalities of many present, including the staff at Cypress Ridge. The decorative yellow and blue up-lighting and color wall washing that we provided illuminated up into the cathedral wood beam ceilings and complimented the flowers and the sensations of the event. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn adjacent to a picturesque lake where you could hear the sounds of nature: the quacking of ducks, the sweet songs of the local birds, the charming croaking of frogs and the whimsical chirping of crickets. All these sounds made for such a serene and relaxing atmosphere for Alex and Aimee to exchange their vows and begin their life together as husband and wife. During the cocktail hour and dinner, guests drifted in and out from the chilliness of the foggy night patio and into a room that was brighter and warmer. As the festivities and dancing began, the warmth filled the room and the energy became abundant. During the first dance and several other dances, it was heart warming to take in the view of Alex and Aimee dancing together, with Alex being close to 7 feet and Amy being more than a foot shorter than him. This didn’t take away from the obvious fact that this couple was meant for each other when you watched them together and heard the touching stories that were told about them during the toasts. It was also enlightening to watch several couples and families having a blast together while dancing. One family in particular was so much fun to observe. The parents, two sons and a daughter were standing in a circle, jumping around and laughing and thoroughly enjoying each other and the joyous occasion.
