Very few venues can make you feel as if you’ve escaped the monotony and boredom of the everyday world we live in, but the Tuscan-inspired Villa Toscana has easily accomplished this. They captured the elegance and romanticism of Italy in the middle of Paso Robles, California – pure brilliance! The sunburst yellow painted buildings with an Italian architecture style made you feel as if were in the middle of a village in Italy. Matt and Deanna exchanged their vows at the base of the curved staircases that led to the upstairs villa suites. The wedding party walked down the staircases during the processional and each of them stood on a separate step during the ceremony. It was a picturesque location to hold a ceremony. The children that were in the wedding and the other children that were guests were absolutely adorable. It was obvious that someone who had an influence on the coordinating of the reception (the bride aka Nanny Deanna!) had a love and understanding of children. As you walked beyond the ceremony site, the first things you came upon was a colorful candy bar to your left and a kid’s table straight ahead. The kid’s table was decked with things to keep a child happy and occupied for hours: large lollipops and other candy, coloring books, markers, a paper tablecloth for coloring on, hand held puzzles and other games and so much more. As you continued to follow the pathway you came to a spacious outdoor courtyard with vine-covered trellises, an outdoor fireplace, and romantic fountains; this was the reception area. Matt’s brothers were very entertaining during the toasts and held a striking resemblance to each other. There was absolutely no doubt they were brothers! As you listened to their stories about one another and their family, there was also no doubt how deep their love for each other went; they weren’t only brothers, they were also lifelong friends. It was truly touching and refreshing to see the dynamics of these two families. States keep some of the family members apart for durations of time, but you would have thought they hung out every weekend from the stories and laughs that rang out throughout the evening. This enthusiasm for family and life carried over into the dance floor. Friends and family of all ages danced the night away. Children even came up and requested songs (mostly classic rock) and got their groove on as well. Matt, Deanna and their guests celebrated their love for each other and for life to the fullest and made many memories in the process.
