Kyle & Audrey Weichert Wedding – November 7, 2009

Weichert Wedding #1The wedding season typically comes to an end in October. Kyle and Audrey’s wedding was the last wedding of the 2009 season for me, and this wedding was one to remember. The event was hosted at Pomar Junction Vineyard & Winery. The ceremony took place on a grassy lawn under a magnificient oak tree that overlooked the vineyard. Kyle is a talented guitar player, and he recorded the 3 songs for the ceremony. He rearranged the songs to fit the occasion perfectly. At the close of the ceremony, the guests were invited to the courtyard area behind the tasting room for the cocktail hour.. The guests enjoyed the fine wines of Pomar and appetizers. They even had the opportunity to tour an old train caboose. Guests were then invited to the reception area which was in a tent that was a short walk down through boxcars and railroad ties. Kyle’s father put together a well thought out and professionally done slide show of the bride and groom growing up. As I began to do my job as the MC of the night I was uncertain if the crowd would be big dancers, but as the night progressed, I began to realize that the energy in the air was abundent. This uncertanty was answered at 7:30 with the first open dancing song I played; everyone was up dancing. The guests stayed on the dance floor until we had a short intermission to do the bouquet and garter toss at 8:30. We then went right back to dancing and they picked up where they left off. The guests formed several dance circles which included Pat, one of the groomsmen, performing many Michael Jackson dance moves. Soon after the whole bridal party performed an impromptu and very entertaining dance sequence to a song that the couple requested, “I’m too Sexy.” There was no doubt that this group was out to celebrate and have a genuinely good time, so much so that they decided to add an extra hour from 9:00 to 10:00 of dancing to the night. The energy could only last so long though, at the end of that extra hour, a few of the guests could be heard uttering their gratefulness for having the opportunity to get off their feet and reminisce the fun of the night.

Kyle & Audrey’s review from WeddingWire:
Very easy to work with. He is very self sufficient and can do his job with little feedback.
