J.R. & Shelley Aube Wedding – March 27, 2010

Aube Wedding #1I would have to add this wedding reception to my list of all time favorites. JR and Shelley were fun, creative and a blast to work with. The ceremony took place at a church in San Luis Obispo and the reception was held at Cypress Ridge Pavilion in Arroyo Grande. With 175 guests in attendance we were bound to make this an event to remember. Guests arrived and enjoyed appetizers and cocktails while the bride, groom and bridal party took pictures.Once the cocktail hour and dinner were over it was time to dance. JR and Shelley had one of the most unique first dances I’ve seen. They choreographed their dance to twelve different segments of songs perfectly. The crowd was completely into it and were going crazy the whole time. It was obvious they were dying to jump out of their seats and join in on the fun on the dance floor; their time was close at hand. The bride and groom really wanted to connect with their guests and include them in on the festivities. During the father-daughter and groom-mother dances they had me invite all the fathers and daughters and then the mothers and sons to the dance floor during these specialty dances. This was  very well received by the guests. The wedding party needed no introduction to their dance. I started the song “Thriller” and they began to make their way to the dance floor in a zombie like fashion as done in the music video. The wedding party, bride and groom had learned the whole Thriller dance sequence and performed it flawlessly. Once again the crowd went crazy. The tone of the night had been set and the energy stayed high. Guests of all ages danced, laughed and just had a fabulous time. When I played the last dance of the night, guests applauded with joy and happiness as JR and Shelley start their life as husband and wife. This wedding reception was a great way to start my wedding season.Aube Wedding #2

J.R. and Shelley’s Review from WeddingWire:
He was very professional and flexible. He definitely knew what he was doing. He really took a load off of planning music. He had a lot of information for you in order to make planning music easy for the wedding. I found him to be a wonderful DJ.
