Brian & Kerilyn Counter Wedding – August 20, 2010

We are so honored and grateful to have been chosen to be a part of Brian and Kerilyn’s special day. They chose the impressive Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda as their venue. The rose gardens and pool were spectacular, and the room had a classiness and elegance that you can’t find anywhere on the Central Coast. We weren’t the only vendors from the Central Coast who were privileged enough to experience this memorable event. Jimmy and Linda from Jimmy De Photography were there capturing all the memories with their cameras. We began the evening outside in the rose garden area where guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails from a couple of drink stations with one of their specialties being sangria. They also had the opportunity to tour the site and experience some of the history of our presidents and nation. The Richard Nixon birth site, the Presidential Helicopter and the rose garden were just a few of these historical areas to see. After about an hour of this, the 350 guests made their way into the ballroom to find their seats. This room was unbelievable with glorious chandeliers that hung from high ceilings, almost full length paintings of presidents, four fireplaces, full length golden curtains and so much more. The amber up-lighting that we provided complimented and enhanced these decorations perfectly. The bridal party, which included several ring bearers and flower girls, were introduced and received a warm welcome. Brian and Kerilyn then made their grand entrance and went right into their first dance which was a very well choreographed ballroom dance. They had been taking lessons and it showed; they did a phenomenal job. Kerilyn looked like Cinderella with her prince as she twirled and danced across the dance floor in this magnificent ballroom, and this reception was definitely one fit for a queen, or a princess in this case. The catering staff and meal were impeccable, to say the least. Each course that was served wasn’t only beautiful to look at, it tasted just as good, if not even better. We felt like judges from a show on the Food Network giving them full scores on appearance, presentation, creativity and taste. The catering staff paraded out in formation, each holding two plates for each course, and they served all 350 guests in ten minutes or less. The dancing held up to these standards as well. This couple’s friends and family were here to have a fabulous time and celebrate this momentous occasion to it’s fullest. We were shocked when it was 12:30 am and time to say good-bye to everyone. The evening had flown by like a good fairy tale book. It would be easy to go on and on about how spectacular and impressive everything about this event was for us. This was a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable wedding experience!

Brian & Kerilyn’s review from WeddingWire:

Chris did a great job for our event. Chris is very professional. When we first talked with Chris, he asked all the right questions to understand what type of event we were looking to have. Chris played the right songs for each part of the reception in the night. He also got and kept the crowd dancing all night. When we first started to plan our wedding we really werent sure if we were going to have up lighting. Chris gave us options and we are glad we took his recommendation to have the up lighting. You will not be disappointed if you hire Bailey Entertainment for your special day!!!
