Tom & Andrea Rockwell Wedding – August 14,2010

Another fantastic and perfect day at the beautiful Dana Powers Barn. The ceremony took place at a different location than the past two. Another one of their locations to exchange vows is outside, adjacent to the barn, where the majestic oak trees and hills of our gorgeous area fill the backdrop. There’s a nice lawn area with an arbor on a wooden stage which Tom and Andrea had beautifully decorated with fabric cascading down in various spots with flowers accenting the corners. This adorable and creative couple had chosen three songs that were very eklectic choices that I had never heard before. Once the ceremony ended the guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks in front of the barn while the bride and groom took pictures. The guests also thoroughly enjoyed the photo booth with all of the crazy hats, wigs and other fun accessories. The reception started with a diverse variety of background music that the guests were able to appreciate while eating. A couple of toasts were given and then came their first dance. Tom and Andrea just couldn’t be the center of attention by themselves anymore, they had barely begun dancing when they signaled their guests to join them on the dance floor and share the moment with them. Their guests didn’t need to be asked more than once; they jumped up and joined in. The dance floor was packed and this group wanted more and danced to a few more songs. I then made the announcement that s’mores were available outside. Once again, this group didn’t need to be asked more than once, this cleared the barn in no time flat. Tom and Andrea had put together little bags of s’mores ingredients for each person there. This was a first for me and it was a huge success. Everybody loved this fun and creative addition to the celebration. After about twenty minutes, the bride, groom and guests made there way back to the dance floor where there was now an ice cream brownie bar set up! Wow! They, without a doubt, knew how the way to these people’s hearts, and that’s through all of their sweet teeth. This was a huge hit as well. Once they were done with their desserts, it was time to burn off some of those calories, and they were ready to dance the night away. This was a great group of family and friends. Everyone had a great time. Congratulations Tom and Andrea.

Tom & Andrea’s review from WeddingWire:

In a desperate attempt to cut costs, my fiancee and I seriously considered replacing a DJ with an iPod…that is until we met Chris Bailey. We are EXTREMELY glad we scrapped the iPod idea and hired a professional. Chris Bailey is just that — a professional. He is organized, friendly, fun, accommodating and knows how to read a crowd. He has all the equipment you could ever need and an extensive music library. From the moment we met Chris we knew our wedding would turn out great. Our wedding was last Saturday and I can now definitively say that he did an outstanding job! Not only was our wedding beautiful, Chris made it fun and memorable! We are so glad that we made the choice to hire Chris.
