The environment of Spanish Oaks is absolutely breath taking. With the greenery, oak trees and surrounding mountains, you feel as if you’re in another world; there’s such a calm and peacefulness that overtakes you. It is one of the coolest places to have a wedding. However, on this day it was far from cool. The temperatures were in the mid 90′s with a light breeze. The weather didn’t stop the guests from coming to celebrate. Nick and Ashley were so easy going and relaxed. They were so happy to see everyone and share their big day with the ones they love. The love and happiness was returned with their nearly hundred guests that filled the seats and were eager to be a part of the special occasion. The ceremony took place under a majestic oak tree adjacent to the barn-style building. The heat caused the dancing to not be as huge of a success as was anticipated, but everyone enjoyed the music selections, the photo booth and the company of friends and family. We learned during the toasts that Nick and Ashley are expecting. Not only was there the celebration of their new life together, but also the new life they created. Many congratulations!!

Kendra of Taylor Rentals chose the beautiful site of Spanish Oaks Ranch to host her ceremony and reception. She asked that we up-light the dance floor, the front of the barn and some of the trees surrounding the reception area. The results were amazing and enhanced the beauty of the venue to its fullest. Several of the guests commented on how awesome the front of the barn looked. Kendra’s colors were red and white. We up-lit the front of the barn, several of the trees and a fountain with a rotation of red and white. We up-lit the four corners of the sheer material on the tent poles with red. Unfortunately, the impressiveness of the lights on the dance floor and reception area could hardly be enjoyed, because soon after the sun started to set, the reception was moved to the inside of the barn. The wind was one that went straight to the bone and the temperature kept dropping more and more as the sun started to set. Along with Bob, we quickly broke down and moved several of the lights into the inside of the barn for the dancing and remainder of the festivities. The results inside were just as appreciated and enjoyed. As people thawed, the dancing commenced, and as the energy improved, we set the lights to audio and they flashed to the beat of the music. It was a fun effect and added to the enthusiasm of the event. Spanish Oaks Uplighting #2
